A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) is a carrier compliance framework required for businesses sending SMS using local 10-digit phone numbers.
This only applies to U.S.A. and Canada. It does not apply to:
WhatsApp
Email
International SMS
Toll-Free Messaging
Social Media
1. Benefits of A2P Registration
Registering under A2P 10DLC provides significant advantages over unregistered messaging.
Improved durability. Registered traffic is trusted by carriers, reducing filtering and blocking.
Higher throughput. Approved campaigns can send/receive messages with increased rate and volume limits.
Brand identity. Your business/brand will be verified, improving legitimacy and reducing spam classification.
Scalability. As your campaign builds reputation and maintains strong performance metrics, throughput and daily limits can increase over time.
2. Registration Process
Myna is unique in that the registration process (in partnership with Twilio) is fully automated once you submit your business profile β known in the system as the Customer Profile. The inner workings of each stage are as follows:
A) Customer Profile
As a one-time step for each Workspace, you submit your Business/Sole Proprietorship details including: Legal name, Address, Business Registration ID, Industry, Website, Point of Contact.
Carriers review this to validate business legitimacy and grant you permission to use SMS for commercial purposes.
ETA: Up to 24 hours.
B) Brand Registration
**Myna completes this stage automatically on your behalf.
During this stage, your business is added to The Campaign Registry (TCR).
ETA: A few minutes.
C) Campaign Registration
**Myna completes this stage automatically on your behalf.
During this stage, your campaign details are reviewed to ensure your intended messaging use case complies with carrier guidelines and regulatory standards. Items reviewed include:
Campaign Description
Custom website with Opt-In form
Privacy disclosures
Sample messages
ETA: Up to 7 business days
Once your registration is approved for your Workspace, you'll be able to claim phone numbers and beginning messaging for your Campaigns.
3. Throughput and Daily Limits
A) Registered Business
If you registered as a business, your typical throughput across all carriers will be 12 MPS (message segment per second), with a daily cap of 2,000 messages per day.
1 SMS Segment = up to 160 Characters (GSM-7 Format)
Text messages usually fall between 1 and 5 segments; if your campaign is designed for large responses, it's not advisable to use SMS.
Myna normalizes your throughput so you don't have to worry about MPS rates- replacing it with a simplified credit system (1 credit = 1 SMS).
B) Sole Proprietor
If you registered as an Individual/Sole Proprietor, your throughput will be 2.25 MPS with a daily limit of 1,000.
C) Can Throughput and Daily Limits Increase?
Yes. As your campaign builds sending history, throughput can increase significantly.
Standard Brand maximum ceilings can reach up to 225 MPS and daily limits of 200,000 messages per day (carrier dependent).
These increases are based on:
Trust Score
Secondary vetting
Carrier performance history
4. How is Myna is Different
Most CRM and automation tools make users fully responsible to interpret carrier and campaign restrictions. This results in delays, rejections, and lower throughput. Myna is different.

Smart Ramp-Up & Throttling System
New campaigns are automatically throttled using a health-first ramp-up schedule.
This prevents carrier filtering, sudden volume spikes, spam complaints and Trust Score damage. The ramp up schedule involves a daily cap for 7 days, and an hourly distribution cap for the first 3 days.
Default Ramp-Up Schedule | Daily Cap | Hourly Distribution |
1 | 50 | 5,10,15,20 |
2 | 100 | 10,20,30,40 |
3 | 200 | 20,40,60,80 |
4 | 400 | - |
5 | 800 | - |
6 | 1,500 | - |
7 | 2,000 | - |
